I grew up in Paris, France, and moved on my own to the U.S. to start studies focused on helping disadvantaged persons, first by obtaining a degree in architecture and pursing research in housing for the poor.
A construction research in a developing Caribbean nation led me to cross paths with rural medical volunteers. In joining them, I discovered that medicine had far greater impact in addressing not just poor living standards but impacting the health of each individual.
After completing medical school, I volunteered in the US Air Force as a medical officer, served on the war front and returned to civilian life to focus exclusively on the health of land laborers (miners, farmers and ranchers) in remote, rural America.
After nearly 20 years of being a traveling rural ED physician across the U.S., my wife Katrina and I decided to settle in Kemmerer, Wyoming, and in doing so quit our adventurous life on the road and focus our interest and efforts in one community, the one we'd be living in. Our dog Imogene must be thinking: "At last, no more long, weary cross-country driving."
I first traveled to work in Kemmerer at SLHD emergency department in February 2022. I have since joined the hospital's executive leadership team on a full-time basis with a plan to gradually assume various departmental directorships.
My goal for SLHD is to help the hospital administration grow primary and specialty care services in ways that are financially sustainable and mindful of the Lincoln County community's desire to receive such advanced and excellent services here at home, in Kemmerer, Wyoming.
My children are of adult age, pursuing their own careers in the U.S., my son in various service industries while my daughter seeks to become a physician.
In my spare time, I dedicate my private hours to my wife, our shared interest in traveling and mushroom hunting. On her own, Katrina - who is a native of Colorado - is an avid reader and kitchen chemist, while I pursue a quiet interest in financial markets forecasting. Trevor currently accepts patients on a walk-in basis through our Walk-in entrance at the South Lincoln Medical Clinic in Kemmerer.
He can evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute problems including flu-like symptoms, cold-like symptoms, chronic disease exacerbations, cuts, sprains, and other minor infections/trauma. Some of the exams or procedures he performs include, DOT exams, suturing of lacerations, large joint injections, incision and drainage of abscesses, ingrown toenail removal, splinting, and casting. Passion for people- serving those who serve us in the place I call home. I believe in compassionate care and am privileged to serve those who have helped care and raise me and to teach those who will one day hopefully return the sentiment. As a pharmacist married to a chiropractor, I believe we can do several things throughout our wellness journey. As one of the most accessible providers, pharmacists can provide counseling on disease states and the safe and effective medication use as well as alternative and supplemental therapy.
I love to travel. If I could spend my days traveling to new places and exploring them on foot, I would! When I am not working (WHAT?!? lol) I enjoy spending time with Casey and our four girls doing any outdoor activity. Wyoming has the most amazing summers, and I can often be found hiking, camping, boating, ATVing, and running. We enjoy skiing and sledding in the winter. If we are indoors, I enjoy time spent baking, crafting, reading and movie nights with my crew.
