Education:
Fred graduated from the University of Utah School of Medicine Family Practice Department in Physician Assistant Studies. He had previously attended the University of Wyoming and held a degree in Nursing from Casper College. Previously, training as an EMT/Firefighter started Fred on his medical path.

Certification:
Physical Assistant Certified. Fred has completed his board exam in Family Practice and Surgery. He holds special certifications in Advance Trauma Life Support, Pediatric Advance Life Support, Advance Cardiac Life Support, Advance Disaster Life Support and Neonatal Resusitation. Additionally, Fred holds certification in National Homeland Security and is part of National Response teams in Emergency Medicine, Firefighting and Urban Search and Rescue.

Fred is a member of the Wyoming Medical Society, Wyoming Association of Physician Assistants, the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Wilderness Medical Society.

A Lincoln County native, Fred joined the medical staff of South Lincoln Medical Center in July of 1996. His medical roots are in Emergency Medicine with beginnings in urban and rural fire service as a professional firefighter. He remains active in the South Lincoln Fire District as a volunteer officer. His spare time is filled by family, church, fishing and hunting which has taken him to Canada and Alaska on hunting adventures. Fred, his wife, Parry (a CRNA at SLMC) and their children live just outside of Kemmerer with their horses and other animals to keep them company.

Fred Baldwin practices family medicine and emergency medicine at South Lincoln Medical Clinic. Appointments are available daily.
