We are pleased to announce that South Lincoln Nursing Center has a Five-Star Quality Rating. The rating system was created to help consumers, their families and caregivers compare nursing homes more easily. This rating system is based on recent quality improvement campaigns such as the Advancing Excellence in America's Nursing Homes, a coalition of consumers, health care providers, and nursing home professionals. Our Nursing Center can accommodate 24 residents in 9 semi-private and 6 private, tastefully decorated rooms. All rooms are individually heated and air conditioned. Rooms are equipped with cable TV and telephone connections. A centrally located nursing station affords excellent visibility; a nurse's call system is available at each resident bed and other care areas. There is a well equipped recreation area for the comprehensive activities program, worship services and beauty salon. Visitors feel at home in the comfortably furnished lounge and dining room. Individualized restorative and rehabilitation programs are provided in the spacious physical therapy area. An outdoor terrace offers a charming view of the adjacent park. The building is in full compliance with all Life Safety Code requirements, including emergency generators for life support systems, smoke detectors, a sprinkler system and ground level entrances and exits. South Lincoln Nursing Center Celebrates 10-year Anniversary Though it may be hard to believe, South Lincoln Nursing Center commemorated its ten-year anniversary. Dedicated in March 1999, SLNC began admitting residents in late April and early May of that year. Press releases from ten years ago reflect how the construction and occupancy of the Nursing Center was "a dream come true," allowing loved ones to be able to stay in their home community where friends and family could visit easily and often.
