Dr. Horton graduated form Baylor College of Medicine and then completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Utah. He completed his cardiology fellowship at the University of Minnesota. He is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Utah. Dr. Horton or one of his associates from the Utah Heart Clinic visits South Lincoln Medical Center once a month. Each is a board-certified physician, specializing in consultative, diagnostic and interventional cardiology and electrophysiology.
In addition to consultation, the following tests may be performed: Resting Echocardiogram (this is an ultrasound test of the heart, a simple test to look at the heart's chambers, valves and the outside sac of the heart); Stress Echocardiogram (this is a combination stress EKG and echocardiogram).
