I want to acknowledge the wonderful people who participated in South Lincoln Medical Center's annual Health Fair. This year we had more than 800 people attend the Health Fair; 45 screening and information booths, and completed 1012 Health Fair panels for people. These are amazing numbers for a community this size. I would like to thank the South Lincoln Training and Event Center for letting us use their facility and the great people there that had everything ready for us.
The vendors who sponsored booths at the fair did a tremendous job. The fair would not be the success it is without the many people who come to educate and assist us with our health and safety needs. Thank you to the many businesses and vendors that were so generous in donating door prizes. We gave away 141 door prizes. We appreciate Lincoln County Search and Rescue's assistance with the landing of the LifeFlight and Guardian Flight helicopters. Thank you to the Fire Department for bringing the fire truck, the ladder was a huge hit for our patrons.
We would also like to thank the crash test dummies for joining us as well as Pinkie the Elephant.
Thank you to our wonderful EMS crew for helping in the collection and all our wonderful employees and volunteers of SLMC who donated their time and expertise to make the Fair a great success. A special acknowledgement goes to our Family Practice Medical Staff who attended the Fair. We are truly blessed to have these dedicated healthcare providers. They have taken to heart our motto, "Caring for our Community." All in all thank you to everyone who was involved in making the Health Fair a great success!
I can't forget all the people who attended Health Fair! I'm so glad you stopped by and I hope you learned something new, had a good time, and are committed to making healthy choices for you and your family. We hope to see you all again next year.
South Lincoln Medical Center
Health Fair Coordinator
On Monday July 17, 2017 the South Lincoln Hospital District Board of Trustees accepted the resignation of CEO Kenneth Archer. Mr. Archer had served as CEO of South Lincoln Medical Center since January 2015. The board has requested that the CEO position be posted as soon as possible. During the meeting, the board appointed Kristin Housley, Jessie Wilcox, and Scott Erickson to serve as an interim Administrative Management Team during this time of transition. The Board is confident that the Interim Management Team has the ability and experience necessary to handle the continued operation for all facilities including hospital, EMS, clinic, nursing home, and retail pharmacy. They will continue to work closely with the board to effectively enact the vision and mission the board has set for the organization. The board would like to thank the providers and each employee of South Lincoln Medical Center for their continued efforts compassionately caring for the medical needs of our community.
